I chose an essay contest that is held annually by Glamour magazine titled "My Real-Life Story Essay Contest". Basically the point of this essay would be to inspire others by telling your personal story. I have always had a burning desire to be a strong and inspirational woman. I have had things happen to me in my life that I could have let drag me down but have overcome all of it and allowed it to shape me into the person I am today. I felt a personal connection with this prompt, which is my best explanation for why I chose this. I know I have a lot I can write about and I know it will be a very passionate essay. Here is the link to the prompt and the link to the detailed official rules:

I chose an essay that is held by writers digest. The competition is titled "Your story". Every month they put out a random topic that requires you to create a story based on either a picture or a short prompt . I chose this contest because its a very broad topic which allows me to pretty much use my imagination and come up with some over the top story. The title of the prompt i chose was, "A nosy man eavesdrops on his co-workers and immediately regrets it."

The essay I chose was the sixth annual life lessons essay by Realsimple.com. I chose this essay because it is on "Whats the bravest thing you've ever done" This is important to me because in my opinion bravery is one of the most valuable thing a person can have. What you do in your bravest moment shows who you really are. This one caught my eye because for me the bravest thing ive ever done happened quite recently.

Prompt: http://www.scholarshipexperts.com/our-scholarships/education-matters-scholarship
ReplyDeleteSubmit an online short written response (250 words or less) for the question:
“What would you say to someone who thinks education doesn’t matter, or that college is a waste of time and money? ”
This essay is basically about the importance of education. Honestly, this subject has been always my favorite. Now that I came here, I'm feeling that education is really important, so I can write about something that I believe. The other reason I chose this essay is because I don't need to research too much for this, and I think it's gonna be easy and helpful for me.
My essay contest is on the global impact of fascism in the 1920's and 1930's.
